This wine is obtained from Merlot grapes cultivated in one of the areas devoted historically to this variety, thanks to ideal pedoclimatic conditions for expressing the aromas and structure of this cultivar. Nearness to the sea, soil with a high clay content and its latitude on the 45th parallel are in fact the elements that we find both here and in the Bordeaux zone, homeland of the best Merlots in the world, even if in the Veneto the style is more light and carefree, without particularly low yields or an excessive use of new oak.
Its sensory profile is typical of a Merlot, with sensations of wild red and black berry fruits and sweet spices and a smoothness of flavor and texture that expresses itself in a rounded, mellow mouthfeel, but enlivened by a freshness and tanginess that derive from the local terroir. These characteristics render it extremely versatile when paired with food.
